A vehicle fire and break and enter in Vernon this morning could be connected.
Frontline officers responded to a report that a vehicle was completely engulfed in flames in a parking lot in the 1900-block of 33 Street around 7 a.m. today, March 4, according to a press release from Vernon RCMP.
Once firefighters put the blaze out the vehicle was examined and police believe it is the same one that was used in a break and enter earlier in the morning in the 3400-block of 32 Avenue.
Investigators are looking into both incidents and reviewing surveillance footage from the areas.
Police are asking any businesses and residents in the area to check video surveillance for relevant footage.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or with information that may assist the investigation has been asked to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171.
