One person is in the hospital after a shooting in downtown Kelowna and police are still investigating. Kelowna RCMP responded to a shooting near the intersection of Ellis Street and Leon Avenue around 3 a.m. today, March 19, according to a press release from police. A male victim was taken to hospital in critical condition. An area near the 1600-block of Ellis Street is still closed off while police collect evidence. Police believe this is an isolated incident and the Serious Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. RCMP are still trying to identify any suspects and witnesses. Anyone with information has been asked to phone the Serious Crime Unit tip-line at 250-470-6236.
