While the devastating war in Ukraine continues, some Kelowna residents are rolling up their sleeves and working together to raise funds for impacted families.
The Ukrainian Catholic Church along with members of the local Ukrainian community are hosting a food sale event on the church grounds on Saturday, March 12, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The sale will feature homemade Ukrainian food like perogies and cakes, and other products from the local Ukrainian community. All proceeds are going directly to war affected families in need of food, medication and other supports.

“Please come by and get some goodies, and show your support for peace and freedom in the Ukraine,” Ukrainian community member Uliana Kotsur said.
The church is located at the corner of Coronation Avenue and Gordon Drive.
