iN PHOTOS: Kelowna’s skyline then and now

Highrises keep sprouting out of the ground in Kelowna. With more and more people moving to the city the trend doesn’t show any sign of changing. BC Stats expects the Central Okanagan population to grow to roughly 350,000 people by 2040, and Kelowna’s population is expected to hit 180,000 by 2040. Over the past 10 years the pace of construction has picked up dramatically and now Kelowna has roughly 1,000 storeys in highrise towers built, on the books or proposed.
