iN VIDEO: Police pickup flips civilian's in weekend Kamloops crash
A weekend crash in Kamloops reduced highway traffic to a single lane for several hours after a police vehicle toppled a civilian's. Seen on dash cam footage, it appears the police pickup was making a U-turn as it collided with a northbound truck on Highway 5 near Rayleigh. Police lights can be seen flashing just as the pickup's rear panel is struck by the nose of the blue civilian truck. The police truck spins around and the civilian's flips to its side in the May 10 collision, around 8 a.m. A BC Highway Patrol spokesperson wasn't immediately available for comment, but RadioNL https://www.radionl.com/2025/05/12/rcmp-say-investigation-into-crash-involving-unmarked-pick-up-to-look-at-various-factors/  reported two women in the blue truck received minor injuries.
