A Kelowna woman plans to take a trip after a $200,000 lottery win.
June Bakala won the cash on a Sparkling Riches Scratch & Win ticket, according to a BC Lottery Corporation media release issued today, March 27.
“I was at home and thought I had won $2,000,” Bakala said in the release. “I turned on the lamp and put on my glasses and realized it was $200,000.”
After validating her win at a retailer and still in disbelief, she sent a message to her family with a photo of her winning ticket.
"They were excited for me,” she said.
Bakala is retired and plans to take a trip with some of her winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at the lottery kiosk at Orchard Park Mall in Kelowna.
