There's something quaint about abandoned old houses, cabins and churches that slowly crumble in backcountry spaces and ranch lands. They leave the viewer wondering about the history behind them, who once lived in them and what took place within their walls so long ago. Photographers in the Kamloops and Okanagan areas captured the beauty of some old structures in various stages of decay on picturesque landscapes this spring. Some structures are more familiar, like the old Tranquille Sanitorium buildings in Kamloops, while others are more hidden on backcountry roads.
