Several wild cats have been spotted roaming in the Kamloops and Okanagan regions this past month including a cougar, lynx and bobcat.  One photographer even snapped a photo of a hibernating bear in its cave. In December, a cougar was caught crossing the lawn on a residential house camera in Penticton, and later that month Vernon resident Patti Rogers captured video footage of a lynx walking along the top of a highway divider on Kick Willy Loop. On Dec. 31, Kamloops photographer Taylor Pyle snapped a photo of a hibernating bear in a cave in the area, just after realizing the bear was inside. "It’s a longer story but I truly had no idea the bear was in there," Pyle wrote in a social media post. "I would’ve not pulled out my camera and kneeled down. I would’ve been running. It was a complete fluke." On Jan. 3, a curious bobcat was spotted wandering around Eldorado Resort in Kelowna. “I thought this would make a great post for you,” said hotel brand manager Tarynn Parker in an email to iNFOnews.ca “He must have heard we have great Friday entertainment.” If you have cool photos or footage of wild animals from your neck of the woods, send them to news@infonews.ca. mailto:news@infonews.ca To contact a reporter for this story, email Shannon Ainslie mailto:sainslie@infonews.ca  or call 250-819-6089 or email the editor mailto:news@infonews.ca .
