Penticton grass fire highly visible as crews work to put it out
Smoke and flames are visible west of downtown Penticton and firefighters are on the scene. Penticton Fire Department captain Mike Wade said it’s a grass fire at the corner of West Bench Drive and Bartlett Drive. Firefighters are on the scene getting water on the flames, and as of now, there are no reports about any structures on fire. “Crews are working the fire and that is all the detail we have for now,” Wade said.
