The Pop-Up Project Street Beats and Eats in downtown Penticton has been expanded with two dates this summer. “We are delighted to expand the Community Pop-Up Project and offer more opportunities for our community to come together and celebrate,” Downtown Penticton Business Improvement Association executive director Brett Turner said in a media release. On BC Day, Aug. 5 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Street Beats and Eats will be in full swing downtown Penticton with an expanded child-friendly beverage garden, yard games and food along with live entertainment by DJ Cole and Get Chico. An additional pop-up date has been added on Friday, Aug. 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will feature Dixie Fried Hep Katz who will put on a show. “Our goal is to create a fun, inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the best of what downtown Penticton has to offer," Turner said.
