Hundreds of people and their pets showed up for dog races, vendors, and family fun at the Okanagan Pet Expo https://www.okanaganpetexpo.com/ in Kelowna. The Laurel Packinghouse was filled to the brim with pet paraphernalia and competitors in the event’s highlights; the ‘Weenie Waggle’ dachshund races and the ‘Pug Dash’ pug races. The BC SPCA https://spca.bc.ca/ , and Okanagan Humane Society https://okanaganhumanesociety.com/ were there fundraising, and there was a station where people could hold tiny chicks. Dog owners brought their pooches to compete in the light-hearted, tiki themed, amateur dog races. The races were as adorable and chaotic as anticipated.
