United Way hosting 10th annual drive-thru breakfast in Penticton

The United Way’s popular drive-thru fundraiser in Penticton is hosting its 10th annual event tomorrow morning, where locals always see lots of familiar faces at the Lakeside Resort.

Mobile diners will be enjoying a hot breakfast with coffee and Timbits from Tim Hortons. There will also be a bag of delicious treats, coupons and a shot at winning up to $1,750 worth of grand prizes that came from local businesses.

The biggest prize is $1,000 that was donated by Valley First Credit Union, and it will be won by whoever finds the golden ticket in their breakfast bag. One condition to claim the prize is having to complete a financial snapshot or personal investment plan at the credit union. The chances of winning are one in 1,000, according to the terms and conditions of the contest. The winnings have to be spent on education, retirement, a personal loan, or credit card debt.

Money raised at the 10th Annual United Way South Okanagan Drive-Thru Breakfast will support local initiatives from Osoyoos to Summerland.

It runs from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. on March 2 at the Lakeside Resort.
