Two suspect were arrested and several people detained following police raid on a home in Kamloops on Wednesday.
Officers investigating a report of stolen electronics wound up at a home on Victoria Street West at approximately 2 p.m., July 24, according to an RCMP media release.
The suspects were known to members of the crime reduction unit, considered prolific offenders and were the subjects of an ongoing investigation, RCMP said.
“A large police presence was visible at the time and although several people were detained, only two were arrested,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. “A quantity of drugs and a handgun were seized as part of the investigation.”
The stolen electronics weren’t recovered and the two suspects arrested were released from custody as the investigation continues.
