Canadian rock icons 54-40 are going to hit the stage in Kelowna for a free opening night performance at the men's national curling championship next month.
“54-40 is so excited to kick off the Montana’s Brier opening night with a concert in Kelowna,” 54-40 founder Brad Merritt said in a Curling Canada press release. “It’s going to be an amazing night of curling, community and live music. Don’t miss it.”
The brier is being held at Prospera Place from Feb. 28 to March 9.
The B.C. rockers will perform at around 9:30 p.m. after the opening draw at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 28. Admission to the show is free but the Original 16 Patch has a limited capacity so eager fans might want to be there when doors open at 5:30 p.m.
54-40 hails from Tsawwassen and Delta and are known for their hits like “Ocean Pearl”, “I Go Blind”, “Nice to Luv You”, “She-La”, “Miss You” and “One Gun”.
This year will be the first time Kelowna has hosted the brier since 1968.
