The heat didn’t slow down the party at Rock the Lake Festival in Kelowna over the weekend. Fans stood in front of fans, and mist machines, they played cornhole, and got tattoos, but most of all they saw some energetic performances at one the Okanagan’s biggest music festivals. Rock the Lake kicked off at Prospera Place on Friday with performances from Lyam, Hoobastank, and Theory of a Deadman. On Saturday Scenic Route to Alaska, Texas King, Daughtry, and Our Lady Peace kept the music coming. The festival finished up on Sunday with shows from Texas Major, Wide Mouth Mason, 54-40, and Tom Cochrane. A pop-up tattoo parlour from Inkroom Tattoo Studio was there so people could get a permanent memento. Rock fans who missed the festival will get another chance next year, but for now, iNFOnews.ca has some photos of the event.
