Shannon White has been missing from Kamloops for 1,000 days and her story continues to be shared online with local searchers not slowing down in looking for her. White has been missing since Nov.1, 2021 https://infotel.ca/newsitem/police-release-new-clue-in-kamloops-missing-persons-case/it86885 when she failed to show up for a shift at her job at Kamloops Hyundai. Her Jeep was discovered abandoned on Nicola Street downtown the following day. Police and Kamloops Search and Rescue crews did several searches in different areas of Kamloops for the two weeks following her disappearance without success, and the case remains an ongoing police investigation. White’s aunt posted on social media on July 28 https://www.facebook.com/groups/424831552642239/user/100008285583456 thanking the public for continuing to share Shannon’s story with a plea to share an online poster of her niece. “1,000 days ago, on November 1, 2021 my niece, Shannon Doh White, went missing from Kamloops,” the post reads. “The next day, I shared a post of a missing poster of Shannon, created by her wonderful friends. That was the first time I asked everyone who saw Shannon’s story to please share. And you all did! And every time I shared Shannon’s story so did all of you! Thank You 1,000 times over. “On that first day I never imagined that I would be here 1,000 days later still sharing Shannon’s story. But I am! And 1,000 days later still asking all of you to please continue to share Shannon’s missing poster. But here I am doing just that! We need to bring Shannon home.” The public shared the post almost two thousand times. This past week, Ritcey and fellow search and rescue professional Randy MacLeod searched new areas for White following a delay from the heat wave earlier in July. “When it’s that hot, it isn’t good for the dogs, they don’t do well in that, but we took up searching again on the first cooler day,” Ritcey said.
