A Kamloops man found dead near Big White was the victim of a homicide.
Kelvin "Kelly" Jobson, 47, was identified more than a week after his body was found on an Okanagan forest service road, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release.
Kelowna RCMP had announced the homicide investigation last week, but the BC Coroners Service did not identify Jobson as the victim until yesterday.
Jobson was reported as missing on April 6 and police notified the public four days later.

“Based on the investigation so far, we know that Kelly was in Kamloops on April 6 or 7, outside of his residence on Linden Avenue," Staff Sgt. Todd Wiebe of Kamloops RCMP said in the release.
Investigators are looking for information related to his disappearance, along with any "suspicious activities" around the time he was last seen or in the area of 201 Forest Service Road.
"Although we have conducted neighbourhood inquiries and video canvasses to help us timeline his last movements in Kamloops, we are asking the community to please take another look and reconsider if they saw or heard anything that might be related, now that we have confirmation he is sadly deceased," Wiebe said.
