Starting tonight with Andrew Jones and trio Cod Gone Wild, the Live! In Lake Country series will include eight Friday night concerts, according to a Lake Country media release.
The concerts take place Swalwell Park in Lake Country starting at 7 p.m. each Friday. The local farmers' and crafter' market will be in the park from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. selling fresh fruit, produce, prepared food and crafts.
“Armed with perfect pitch, professionalism and an uncanny ability to mimic anything he hears while putting his own personal spin on it, Andrew Johns is an incredible performer and will bring joy and excitement to LIVE! In Lake Country,” the release read.
The Cod Gone Wild trio features Andrew Mercer, Susan Aylard and Sean Bray are known for their Celtic inspired music with a modern twist of an electric guitar and a fiddle.
“Growing up in Newfoundland and being exposed to traditional music at a young age, there will always be a strong Newfoundland influence in Cod Gone Wild’s music,” Mercer said. "Having musicians from various musical backgrounds allows us to create something a little more modern and edgy that will have a broader appeal to audiences."
