New charges and a new warrant for targeted Kamloops gangster
A Kamloops gangster targeted in an ongoing drug trade conflict is wanted on new charges. Cameron Ronald Ross Cole, 40, is facing new firearm charges just filed yesterday, Aug. 1. Kamloops RCMP say there's a warrant for Cole's arrest and are looking to the public for help finding him. Both offences allegedly took place on May 6 — the same day as a shooting at the Ramada Hotel https://infotel.ca/newsitem/brazen-fourth-kamloops-shooting-injures-one/it104622  — where the first person was wounded in a string of incidents linked to the gang violence that escalated that month. Police didn't give any information about the circumstances of Cole's new charges, but he has appeared in court recently facing charges related to a drug seizure in May 2023. He's also one of two men at the centre of the ongoing conflict https://infotel.ca/newsitem/men-at-centre-of-kamloops-gang-war-on-opposing-sides/it104669 , named earlier by police as the violence poses a public safety risk. According to Castanet Kamloops reporting, Cole was shot last month near a North Shore pub, appearing in court the next day with a sling. The two new charges included possession of a loaded restricted firearm and possession while prohibited.
