Bachman Turner-Overdrive is hitting the road for the Back in Overdrive Tour 2025 and there will be stops in BC including Penticton.
Missing from the revival of the 1970s Canadian rock band, led by Randy Bachman, will be Fred Turner, one of the bands original members.
More than a year after he revealed he was reviving the Takin' Care of Business band, Bachman announced the Back In Overdrive Tour 2025 Friday, Nov. 1. At the time, Bachman said Turner was on board and would help write and record new music, but a representative for Bachman said Turner is no longer involved, and declined to provide further details.
Bachman and BTO, including his som Tal Bachman, have been touring in the U.S. this year ahead of the Canadian tour.
Canadian classic rockers Headpins and April Wine will be opening for BTO.
They'll also be performing hits from the Guess Who, a band co-found by Randy with Burton Cummings.
"Years ago, BTO rocked Canada coast to coast, sharing the stage with acts like ZZ Top,” Bachman said in a media release. “Now, we're excited to return... Get ready for a night of 70s classic rock that continues to dominate the airwaves.
"It's going to be an unforgettable evening. Crank up the hits. Canadian rock is back and BTO is back."
Tickets go on sale, starting at $49, Friday, Nov. 8 and can be purchased here
