The puck drops in September for the Young Stars Classic hockey tournament in Penticton and the schedule and ticket prices were announced this morning.
The tournament is features prospects from the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and the Winnipeg Jets at the South Okanagan Events Centre from Sept. 13 to 16, according to a press release issued today, July 22.
The 11th edition of the Young Stars Classic is a four-team, round-robin format pitting the best young NHL prospects in Western Canada against each other.
The Penticton Vees are making an appearance in an exhibition game against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Sept. 14.
The tournament isn’t the only NHL event coming to Penticton in September since the Vancouver Canucks decided to have their training camp at the same arena from Sept. 19 to 22.

Players from Calgary are up against Winnipeg at 4 p.m. on Sept. 13, followed by Vancouver versus Edmonton at 7:30 p.m. After the Vees game at 3 p.m., Calgary is playing Edmonton at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 14.
Vancouver is playing Winnipeg at 2 p.m. on Sept. 15, and the tournament ends on Sept. 16 with Winnipeg against Edmonton at 11 a.m. and Calgary against Vancouver at 2:30 p.m.
The schedule is subject to change.
Tickets for the Young Star Classic

will be available on Monday, July 29, and fans can go to all six games and the Vees game for $115 for adults, and $75 for kids 12 and under.
