Suspect wanted for ramming Kamloops RCMP vehicle
RCMP in Kamloops are on the hunt for a man who rammed a police vehicle during a traffic stop and are looking for the public’s help to identify him. An officer recognized an older model white Ford F-150 pickup with no licence plates in connection with previous investigations parked in the 200 block of Tranquille Road at around 12:35 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, according to an RCMP media release. RCMP said a “traffic stop was initiated” when a man returned to the vehicle. The driver didn’t stop and rammed an unmarked police vehicle and took off speeding through a parking lot and onto Briar Avenue. The officer in the vehicle wasn’t hurt. Investigators have released an image from surveillance video of the suspect and are hoping someone recognizes him RCMP describe the suspect as a Caucasian male with black hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a black hooded jacked with a white emblem on the black, a black ball cap with a Nike logo and tan overalls. Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-36205.
