Fiddling with timesheet nets BC nurse $23,000 in pay and a suspension

A BC nurse has been suspended for six months after falsifying timesheets that netted him $23,000. BC Licenced Practical Nurse Kennedy Baker forged the signature of the nurse in charge so he was paid $23,262 for hours he didn't work. According to the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, Baker fiddled with his timesheet between September and December 2022 while working in Victoria. The College doesn't state where he was working at the time but its records show before his suspension he was working at the Cridge Family Pharmacy in Victoria. There is no mention in the consent order whether or not the nurse will be made to pay the money back. The licenced practical nurse signed a consent agreement with the regulator admitting to his conduct. Along with a six-month suspension of his licence, he agreed to take courses on professional responsibility and accountability and complete a comprehensive ethics course. The regulator provides no other information in the consent agreement.
