Harvest season is well underway in Kamloops and the Okanagan, and hardworking gardeners are enjoying the fruits of their labour bringing in a wide variety of tasty fruits and vegetables.

grown so far this season including twisted carrots and tomatoes with horns.
With autumn approaching people are discovering and admiring supersized vegetables in their gardens.
Kamloops gardener Aramat Nesnitram grew a tomato weighing 1.3 pounds.
“I’ve been gardening pretty much my whole life starting with my grandma growing potatoes,” she said. “It’s absolutely the largest tomato I’ve ever grown.”
Nesnitram already ate the tomato but is keeping its seeds to plant next spring.

“It was eaten fresh but I would have made a single tomato soup if I’d had the time, I was extremely excited for a single slice toasted tomato sandwich,” he said.
