The parents of a man who went missing 18 years ago are renewing their call for information about his disappearance. Aaron Derbyshire was 22 years old when he was last seen in the 200-block of Leon Avenue after leaving the Level nightclub on Sept. 29, 2006, according to an RCMP media release issued, Oct. 18. Aaron was reported missing when he didn’t show up for a family outing on Oct. 3, 2006. His parents Glenda and Gordon Derbyshire are asking anyone who has information about his disappearance to come forward. "I believe there are people that know what happened to him," Glenda said in a video released by Kelowna RCMP. "I never would have imagined that we would be here 18 years later still without answers." In the tearful plea, Glenda said Aaron was their second born of four boys and today he would be an uncle to four nieces and a nephew. "We miss Aaron everyday and losing him like this has impacted our lives in so many ways," she said. Five years ago a member of the member of the family made a similar plea to the public https://infotel.ca/newsitem/remembering-aaron-derbyshire-13-years-since-kelowna-man-disappeared-without-a-trace/it66497  for tips. “For me, I’ve come to the realization that there’s not going to be a reunion — we won’t see him come back to our family alive and well,” his cousin Nicole Hamelin said at the time. “It would be nice to have closure and have that peace and say those goodbyes.” When he went missing, Aaron was described as 5'10" tall, 160 lb. with brown hair and blue eyes.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference file number 2006-53986.
