Kamloops woman wins $75,000 in lottery draw
A Kamloops woman bought a BC/49 ticket while grocery shopping months ago and it was a winner. Susan Steenson validated her winning ticket at Real Canadian Superstore in Kamloops. “I thought, ‘This isn’t real!’ I thought it was just an ad on the screen,” Steenson said in a BC Lottery Corporation media release issued, Oct. 18. The ticket for the March 30 draw was purchased at Save-On-Foods on Summit Drive. She said the win felt exciting and surreal. Steenson plans to put the money aside for something practical or maybe some fun. She would also like to donate a portion of the lottery prize.
