Highway 3 closed due to multi-vehicle accident

Highway 3 has closed this morning near Hedley due to a vehicle accident.

AIM Roads is reporting the multi-vehicle accident 1.2 kilometres east of Hedley. The road is currently closed and there is no estimated time of reopening.

DriveB.C. is expected to have an update on the highway at noon today, Feb. 27.

The Trans-Canada Highway will also be partially closed Monday, Feb. 28 between Lindburg Road and Des Fosses Road, 14 km east of Chase so highway crews can recover a vehicle following an accident yesterday.

The road will be reduced to single lane, alternating traffic from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow, according to DriveB.C.
