Assault changes have been laid after a man allegedly spat on a baby in Vancouver.
It happened at a bus stop near the intersection of Main Street and Broadway Avenue around 3 p.m. yesterday, Nov. 18, according to a media release from the Vancouver Police Department.
A mother and her 13-month-old son were among a crowd of people waiting for the bus.
A stranger approached and yelled at people to get out of his way. The mother moved her strolled to give him space, but the man stopped and deliberately spat into the stroller and onto the baby, according to the release.
Police were called immediately and given a description of the suspect. The man is well-known to police and officers were able to locate him within minutes, according to police.
Glen Asselin, 59, was arrested and charged with assault.
