Christmas is coming and talented performers are bringing more holiday spirit to audiences of all ages to stages in Kamloops and the Okanagan.  In Kamloops an evening performance of Handel’s Messiah with the Kamloops Brandenburg Orchestra and the Raminsh Choir will fill the Oasis Church, a venue known for its superior acoustics. The performance will end with the Hallelujah Chorus, a well known piece of choral music by George Frederick Handel. Located at Oasis Church at 1205 Rogers Way, the performance runs from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. Tickets can be purchased here. https://allevents.in/kamloops/handels-messiah/10000743326939887 The Nutcracker winter sleigh ride show is running in Armstrong at Caravan Farm Theatre, a version of the holiday classic created by Cirque du Soleil artist Manon Beaudoin. The show features circus elements while the audience is pulled in horse drawn sleighs from scene to scene from roughly an hour. Guests are advised to dress warmly for the outdoor adventure. Located at Caravan Farm Theatre at 4886 Salmon River Road in Armstrong, several dates and times are available throughout December and into the New Year with a few shows running on the weekend. Performed by The Kore Dance Project, You’re A Mean One aims to entertain all ages. “Skip ahead in the story and enjoy all the magic. Maybe through dancing it won't be so tragic,” reads the performance advertisement. Located at the Rotary Centre for the Arts at 421 Cawston Avenue, the showtimes are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10. The Summerland Singers and Players present the play as if it is being performed and listened to on the radio, the style of the time before television. Located at Summerland United Church at 13204 Henry Avenue, It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is being performed for the last two times at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 10.
