UPDATE: Highway 1 partially reopens following vehicle accident near Sicamous

The Trans-Canada Highway has partially reopened this morning following an accident near Sicamous.

DriveB.C. reported the highway closure east of Sicamous near Mckreacher Road. The road is currently open to single-lane alternating traffic.

Major delays are expected.

A winter storm warning is no longer in effect for Highway 1, from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.
