Following the arrest of a wanted man in Vernon, police found a large amount of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl all packaged for sale last week.
A Vernon North Okanagan police officer was conducting patrols in the 2500-block of 37th Street, March 9 at 1:45 p.m., when he found a man that had a warrant for his arrest, according to the RCMP's press release.
After he was arrested, police found a "substantial quantity of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl in bulk and packaged for street sale," on him, according to the RCMP.
The man also had several weapons. He is currently bound by court-imposed conditions to not possess weapons, according to the police.
The investigation is ongoing and once completed, the RCMP will forward the details to the B.C. Prosecution Service for charge review.
