B.C. Interior welcomes 2022 New Year’s Babies

The birth of 2022 has been personified by New Year's babies in Kamloops, Kelowna and Vernon, while we're still waiting for Penticton.

The Interior's first New Year’s baby arrived on Jan. 1 at 2:11 a.m.

Parents Molly and Tyler welcomed Grey Ron Allison, a 6 lb 13 oz. baby boy, at the Kelowna General Hospital.

A baby girl was welcomed at the Kamloops Royal Inland Hospital on Jan. 1 at 3:29 a.m.

Later that morning, at 7:42 a.m., Vernon welcomed their New Year’s baby girl at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

The families have declined to release any further information, Interior Health said.

Penticton is still waiting for their New Year’s baby.
