One year older and $100,000 richer for this Kelowna lotto winner
A Kelowna resident just got the best birthday gift ever, a $100,000 jackpot win off a Scratch & Win ticket. Jesse Tanner received several lottery tickets on his birthday and one of them was hiding the top prize from the $100,000 Jackpot Scratch & Win, according to a BC Lottery Corporation media release. “Some of the tickets were $20 even and (I thought) that’s the only one that I won on, and then we found (the) winning ticket,” Tanner said in the release. After revealing his winnings, he called the BC Lottery Corporation and then downloaded their app to make sure of his win. “I checked the ticket maybe two or three times,” he said. Tanner first told his family and co-workers about his winning and plans on putting the money toward a down payment for a new home. His winning ticket was bought at the Petro-Canada gas station on Horton Road in Mill Bay on Vancouver Island.
