Person hit by vehicle in Vernon, sent to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries

A person was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Vernon Friday night.

The B.C. RCMP confirmed a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the 25th Avenue and 37th Street intersection and the person was taken to the hospital, but did not have further details on the incident.

A RCMP investigation is ongoing.

The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP could not be immediately reached for comment.
