RCMP asking public for help to find missing Kamloops man

RCMP are looking for a 63-year-old Kamloops man who has been missing for a few weeks.

Leslie Leahy was last seen at his home in the Mission Flats area of Kamloops on Aug. 25 , according to an RCMP media release issued today, Sept. 12.

Police and his family are concerned because Leahy requires medication.

RCMP describe Leahy as a 63-year-old Caucasian male, 5’5'' tall and 150 lb. He has shoulder length grey hair and a long beard, and he might be wearing a hat.

“Mr. Leahy is known to hang around the area of Victoria Street and 3 Avenue, but also to travel to outlying communities near Kamloops such as Salmon Arm and Vernon,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

Anyone who recognizes or has information related to his whereabouts is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-31319.
