RCMP are asking the public to avoid an area in the city's southeast because there's an unfolding police incident. Officers were called to the 5700 block of Gillard Creek Forest Service Road at around 8 a.m. today, March 1. “We are asking for the public to stay away from the area as there are suspects outstanding,” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Judith Bertrand said in a media release. Police haven't identified any suspects or released any information about the incident aside from the fact that it is ongoing. RCMP said it will release more information as it becomes available.
