Kamloops firefighters had to pull out the big guns when a puppy found itself in a tight spot.
Instead of using butter or olive oil to slip the dog out from between the bars of a table, they used the jaws of life to pry the piece of furniture apart.

"It’s not the usual cat in a tree, but we don’t discriminate," a March 17 Kamloops Fire Rescue social media post reads.
A crew from Fire Rescue Station 7 got to the scene and was able to safely free the puppy's head from the table, using a powerful hydraulic tool typically used for people trapped in cars.

Less than a year ago, firefighters helped an even smaller dog, Bean, when it got itself stuck under a reclining couch.
Although they were prepared to use the jaws of life that time, the crew managed to dismantle the couch and retrieve Bean safely.
