Victim bikes away from Kamloops assault with stab wounds

Police are looking for witnesses to an early Sunday morning stabbing in Kamloops.

The victim told Kamloops RCMP he biked away from the assault when officers were called to a North Shore address on Feb. 6, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release.

Police responded to the area around 2:50 a.m., and the victim said he was assaulted on the 400-block of Tranquille Road.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, RCMP said.

Investigators are now looking to the public for witnesses to the assault and surveillance video fro the area.
