The threat of a landslide near Wiseman Creek in Sicamous is increasing due to forecasted rainfall and may pose a risk, according to a press release issued by the regional district.

Due to the potential danger to life, health or property, an evacuation alert is in effect for the following residences numbered one through 27 in the mobile home park off of Highway 97A.

"Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation, however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions," according to the regional district.

Last month, an evacuation alert was also issued for the mobile home park due to a landslide threat.
