The Pink Moon is named after a creeping moss called mountain phlox which is native to the eastern United States where it flowers every spring.
The moon has many names including Sprouting Grass Moon, Egg Moon and Fish Moon.
April’s full Pink Moon reaches peak illumination on Tuesday, April 23 at 4:49 p.m. and will appear full from Monday morning to Thursday morning, according to NASA

You can also look for the bright planet Jupiter and the bright star Regulus, along with the Lyrids meteor shower that is streaking across night skies
