Police arrived on the scene near Heffley Creek on Tod Mountain Road where the deceased driver’s body was found. RCMP believe the driver was the only occupant.

The BC Coroners Service was also called to the scene.

“Due to the placement of the collision scene, a section of the roadway was temporarily closed during the late afternoon while police, the coroner and Kamloops Search and Rescue worked to retrieve the victim from the steep terrain,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. No criminality is suspected.
