Cool but sunny week ahead for Kamloops and the Okanagan
While it will be cloudy with a chance of snow flurries in Kamloops and the Okanagan today, March 4, the skies should clear for the rest of the week. But daytime high temperatures won’t get much above freezing until late in the week. Kamloops is facing a high of -1 Celsius today with a 30% chance of flurries, according to the Environment Canada online forecast. It should clear late in the day but overnight lows tonight and Tuesday could drop to -10 C. Highs for Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to be 2 C, rising to 5 C Thursday but overnight lows will continue well below freezing. The Okanagan is facing a 60% chance of flurries today and 30% tonight. High temperatures could reach 2-3 C through Wednesday before rising to 5 C on Thursday in Vernon and Kelowna. Penticton should be about 1 C warmer. Overnight lows are expected to be in the -7 to -8 C range. Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 6 C with overnight lows of -3 C.
