Curling Canada to make a major announcement in Kelowna

Curling Canada officials will be in Kelowna later this week to make an "important" announcement.

According to a media advisory issued today, Oct. 24, the national curling organization will be making an announcement along with members of the Kelowna curling community.

A spokesperson for the national curling organization said the announcement isn't about the upcoming 2023 Pan Continental Curling Championships that are taking place in Kelowna from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, but he wouldn't say what Friday's announcement is about other than it's a "major curling announcement."

More details will be made available at a news conference on Friday.
