A large plume of smoke can be seen from across Kamloops this afternoon.
Residents took to social media Saturday at roughly 4:40 p.m. to report the heavy plume.
Kamloops resident Ashley Martin said a fire is located at Thompson Rivers University in a gully near the Chappell Family Building for Nursing.
Within a few minutes, she said the fire grew "significantly."
Kamloops Fire Rescue did not immediately return a request for comment.
