iN PHOTOS: Kelowna's vintage fair had art, collectibles and oddities

Kelowna’s vintage connoisseurs gathered for the Okanagan Vintage Fair today. The fair was at the Parkinson Recreation Centre with 40 vendors ranging from classic guitars to art made from repurposed thrift store items. Rick Zipp is a musician who has been collecting and selling a range of items for the past 45 years. “At the moment I’m more into smaller items. I have 100 guitars for sale, so I like coins and records, they don’t take up a lot of space. I specialize in coins, guitars, jewelry, and Nintendo,” Zipp said. “I stay away from stuff I don’t understand.” Zipp said there’s something special about setting up a booth at a fair rather than selling solely online. “Selling that one piece you don’t think you’re going to sell, and finding some cool stuff to buy myself,” he said.
