Ryan Reynolds is going viral again by joining other big names and tackling the debated subject of daylight savings to promote his new movie about time travel.
One of B.C.’s favourite actors posted a video where he’s joined by actor Mark Ruffalo, his co-star in The Adam Project, which was released on March 9.
Despite the amount of star power between Reynolds and Ruffalo, the pair seemed humbled to be introducing veteran actor Christopher Lloyd, who famously played time traveller Dr. Emmett Brown in the Back To The Future trilogy.
“We wanted to make a PSA as epic as our film,” Reynolds says in the video.
Reynolds and Ruffalo appear candid in their address – aside from Reynold playing dumb while suggesting someone could be late for a movie on Netflix because of daylight savings time – whereas Lloyd puts on a performance.
“To me, the years seem like minutes, yet I do not dwell in the memories. Because life is about moving forward. Not just into the future, into the unknown. This weekend we will lose an hour, but maybe we will gain some perspective…”
While the words alone may seem basic, Lloyd delivers them in a dramatic fashion and makes them sound profound.
After the monologue concludes, Reynolds and Ruffalo express their admiration for Lloyd’s brief performance and then they make fun of daylight savings time.
“I still think daylight savings time is so stupid,” Reynolds says.
“It’s idiotic,” Ruffalo adds.
B.C.'s clocks are set to roll back an hour Sunday, March 13.
