Kamloops RCMP appeal for witnesses after daytime stabbing

Kamloops RCMP are appealing to witnesses after a man was stabbed in the late afternoon earlier this week.

Police say the victim is not cooperating with police and are asking the public for help.

The man was found with cuts on his hand and chest in the 700-block of Victoria Street at around 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, according to an RCMP media release.

"The man refused to provide a statement but told police the incident occurred in an alley nearby," Kamloops RCMP media relations officer Const. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with any information, or surveillance related to the incident, is urged to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-2571.
