Murder trial moves ahead for Kamloops man accused of stabbing neighbour

A murder trial for a Kamloops man accused of stabbing his neighbour to death is moving ahead.

Jason Michael Holm was charged in 2020 with one count of second degree murder. Paul Samuel Whitten, 39, his neighbour, was allegedly killed Aug. 1, 2020.

Whitten was from Newfoundland and had been working away from home in Kamloops.

According to court documents, Holm will stand trial in B.C. Supreme Court. A preliminary inquiry wrapped up Thursday, May 5.
