Money is being raised for the family of an 11-year-old Osoyoos boy who was killed by two dogs in Edmonton earlier this week.
Kashe Grist was visiting family in the Alberta capital when he was attacked and killed by two “very large dogs,” according to Edmonton Police Service.
His grandmother Nancy Pearson made an emotional post on social media saying the day she found out was “the worst day of my life.”
“I miss you so much Kache Grist, I am so sorry this has happened. You made the world a better place to be in. I don’t know how to say goodbye to you. You were so strong, you helped me so much. You made me laugh you, oh you were so funny. You were so creative and I loved every moment we spent together.
“RIP my little boo-boo.”
The family is crowdfunding to raise $40,000 for his funeral and other expenses.

The Canadian Press reported that animal control officers were called to the home twice before but weren’t seized until after Grist was killed
