Police on lookout for suspect after Kelowna security guard stabbed

Kelowna RCMP are investigating after a security guard was stabbed early this morning.

The stabbing took place at 1:35 a.m. today, March 21, in the 1000 block of Sunset Drive in Kelowna where the security guard was working, according to an RCMP media release.

The security guard was rushed to hospital and then later released after suffering serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers searched the area with the help of a police dog but did not find the suspect.

RCMP describe the suspect as a 30- to 40-year-old Caucasian male,  5’8" tall, with a large build and blonde hair. He was wearing a black fur-rimmed parka and was carrying a backpack.
